Renegotiate

Received a bid to move from Nebraska to Wyoming. Was given a price which was reasonable for a 700 mile move. Change of plan due to health concerns, staying in Nebraska and moving 7 miles, big difference. Still charging the 700 mile move price. Will not reduce price. Will not refund deposit for cancelling. They don't return my phone calls, ever.

Terrible...Terrible...Terrible - Seniors, ESPECIALLY, Beware!

Our senior grandmother was moving from Colorado to Nevada and hired United States Moving Services. She provided a 50% deposit of $3,000. USMS’ carrier arrived on the scheduled date but refused to perform the services as agreed upon and left. Since the carrier refused services, we requested a refund of the deposit. They refuse to refund our 90-year-old grandmother’s deposit stating they tried to return to perform the services in which they were contracted to perform; why would they have to return if they had performed the services when they arrived. We have tried to contact them several times to rectify this situation amicably with no success so we are now having to contact an attorney, file a small claims suit, and report this company to all the legislative entities that regulate moving companies and brokers.

Hard Workers!

We had United States Moving Services for our movers today. They were efficient and very careful with our belongings. We had a bit of a difficult move considering our sofa had to go up 4 flights of stairs. They got it up and in our new apartment without complaint. I would definitely recommend doing business with this company and we will use them in any future move as well.

Unprofessional - Beware!

I Wish I could upload the screenshot. Clark was pressuring me to lock in a quote but I texted, very nicely might I add, that I did not want to lock in so soon so I’ll continue to look around. His response (and I’m quoting his typo): “Makes no sence. We deleted you.” I’m so happy I didn’t go with this company because they are rude! Just imagine the bullet I just dodged. Beware!

This Company has NO Integrity

If you want to get scammed go ahead and (attempt to) work with these people. I won’t bother writing too much here because they will most likely remove this.

I wish I could upload a copy of my contract. I went back and forth with their sales rep to make sure he added a clause in there stating that if I did not need their moving services they would return my deposit. It was finally added and approved by his manager (waiving the 48/hr cancelation clause) and electronically signed. Well, I am not moving and thus do not need their moving services. They are refusing to return my deposit, will not answer the phone (caller ID), will no longer reply to my email emails once I pointed out that they should read their contract. As well, I sent a formal demand letter which they refused to accept and sent back as no such address (to the address that appears on their website and also in the corporate filing).

Check their Yelp reviews...there are over FIFTY 1-Star Reviews. No surprise that they have not claimed their Yelp business page. As well, they have no social media sites …where bad reviews cannot be removed.

Such a class act of thugs. You have been warned. I reported them to the U.S. DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration and about seven other agencies.

Horrifying Experience

I've never had to write a review like this, for any thing or any service. I feel that it is very important for me to take the time to write this one, as anyone even thinking about speaking to the companies involved with this move should run in the opposite direction, and fast.

We booked our move originally through United State Moving Services, a veteran owned company (I am a disable veteran myself, so this was definitely a plus for me personally). So, they are the "broker" for the move. The initial pickup of our belongings was serviced through USA Logistics, and the Drop-off company was through Ackermann Express (apparently sub-contracted through USA Logistics).

When we booked our move from Arizona to Arkansas, the representatives name that booked our move through United States Moving Services was Sam Gaines. We had to do a VERY detailed call where we listed just about every single item for our move. We were a two-location pickup, with one location being our 10x20 storage unit, and the second our two bedroom apartment. Sam was very adamant that he quoted us "overboard" with an "absolutely full top to bottom" storage unit, and then everything in our apartment as well (down to the laundry basket)... a few days prior to the move, we had a scheduled "quality assurance" call with a Michael Cooper, who then advised that we increase our total qubic feet for the move "just to be extra safe". So, this was an additional $2400.00 on top of what we paid originally.

I'll try to make this as summarized as possible, but it's important to make everyone aware of how this scam works, because it absolutely is a scam. Well, when the pickup company arrived, they started at our storage unit. Here's the kicker, when we were done with the storage unit, we were already at the capacity for our move. Here's another kicker, our storage unit wasn't even 60% full. So, the company loaded everything up, the day before my family is supposed to drive across the country, and by the time the apartment was loaded, we were over $6800.00 over according to their equation for cubic feet. They said we either pay them, or they would unload everything in our apartment parking lot. We didn't have a choice. We paid. We ended up having to throw away much of our furniture and other things like chairs and shelving just to be able to afford the move.

Finally, the delivery company gets to our home a few days later, and says they can't get their truck to our home, so we have to pay another $1300.00 for a "shuttle service" using a smaller truck. They (without our knowledge) cross-loaded all of our belongings to a HUGE tractor trailer that wouldn't be able to fit into most neighborhoods, when Michael Cooper assured us we were booking a "whole 35ft box truck just for our move"...

When the movers unloaded our items, it was horrible. They damaged our brand new home, put our furniture back together incorrectly, and stacked boxes clearly labeled FRAGILE UPSIDE DOWN. We have photos of literally everything.

In conclusion, no less than 80% of our furniture and fragile belongings were smashed. We are working on a claim right now, and trying to find an attorney. We paid over 13K for this move, and they have completely taken us to the ringer. Words can't do it justice. These people are the worst kind of people, without shame or morals of any kind as a company. We are praying that we can get some sort of justice... don't risk working with anyone involved. I'm going to be sharing this review everywhere possible, and making a video as well.

Better than the other companies.

These guys packed everything completely from both the places. No complaints, no breaks, no sweat. I was shocked at how they worked 6 hours straight today without having to sit down for a second. They were personable, helpful, and at fees, they didn't try to upscale you. To anyone looking for professional, affordable, friendly movers, I recommend them!

The crew was great!

I booked them for an early morning slot and they were on time getting to the apartment, having called in advance to let me know approximately when they would be arriving. The moved everything out within the hour and we were on our way to the new apartment. I had quite a number of furniture and small furniture items and was amazed at how quickly they got the move done.

I thank these people lots of time!

I have been moving a lot because of my work ethics and my last 3 moves were depressing. My office colleague told me to try United States Moving Services. It was amazing. People came, helped me pack my stuff and loaded the household to the truck. United States Moving Services is a bit more than a lottery ticket to the people who wants to move. Best part was that they moved it from the truck to my new home also. It was a remarkable experience.

Pricing very reasonable!

I regularly move and use many moving companies throughout the world and my encounters with United States Moving Services have certainly been one of the greatest. From the beginning to the end, there was clear communication. Unlike other locations, we had no trouble moving additional furniture, which I had overlooked. They were polite, well-informed and cared about my stuff. It was my most stress-free move and I'm happy with the service.

Save your time and money and stay away from this company!

This was one of my worst experiences ever! Do NOT book with them!! During my initial phone call, the representative, Julian, was very kind and reassuring, but he made FALSE promises of a guaranteed delivery date. When the pick-up date came closer there was no communication from them, and my pick-up date was rescheduled twice. Finally, when a date and specific time were set, I waited for the drivers to show up but they never did, and they never gave me a phone call. I live half an hour from the pick-up location, so I had to drive a total of an hour and wait an additional hour, before someone gave me a call back after I repeatedly called their office. Then, I received a call hours later notifying me that they won't be able to get my things to final location until 20 days or so after my set delivery date time frame. I then called United States Moving Services only to be berated by a representative saying that no one told me a guaranteed date and that the times written on the binding contract are just estimates. I then asked to get a refund, as I no longer wanted to work with such an untruthful company. I wrote an e-mail requesting a refund only to get a call saying that they already used most of my deposit money for booking movers? I'm appalled at how unprofessional and uncommunicative this firm is.

I wasn’t too sure what to expect for doing a long-distance move. This is the first time I move away with just about everything I own and it’s was too overwhelming to do it alone. Quality movers are elusive!

Excellent moving organization. Two exceptionally obliging, tidy and expert professional movers appeared to move a little three-room home to another home. These men worked, hard and completed the activity totally in an opportune way. Would have enlisted them to move another house seven days after the fact, yet they were altogether reserved. I have taken in an exercise there. Plan and book your movers ahead of time.

Tireless service!

United States Moving Services moved us 2 weeks ago. They were awesome, true professional person . They were on time which was great . The guys really know what they were doing. They came and just went to work. They were very careful and worked diligently and very nicely. This is the most professional moving company.

They were so efficient all along the way it made this move a pleasurable experience. Their customer service and follow up was right on point. Great driver and professional help!

Lots of stuff was with us and some of it was antiques. I was very tensed how to do all of it but my friend referred me United States Moving Services. I called them and got the quotation. Professional Movers.

United States Moving Services helped me move from my home of 15 years in MI to a new house in TN. Wonderful experience!

We will never move again without hiring a crew from United States Moving Services. We had such a positive experience working with them. They nailed the estimated cost, the crew arrived on time, we walked them through our house and that was about where our work ended! They were so careful on our newly wood floors, and even took the time to apply felt pads to every piece of furniture. They were kind and considerate, disassembling each piece and reassembling it upon arrival. We even had them move a couple things after placing them and they were so nice about it.

I had to combine moving with a pick up of furniture from another location. Steven was extremely helpful with scheduling both moves even when the dates changed. Had a great experience working with Sarah over phone, she even gave me a flat price for travel time. The movers were right on time and quick in moving my stuff for one bedroom.
